We pride ourselves on being flexible with family schedules and finances. Some of our students ride once per month (recreational) whereas some ride 8+ times per month (more serious commitment/working towards goals). There are different commitment levels for different levels of riders. All of the Stable Life staff have come from humble horse beginnings and are passionate about sharing horses with everyone for an affordable price. With a very casual setting, we want our place to be a "get-away" for students. After reading about our lesson options, please contact us so we can figure out where to place you!
We start all of our new students in our Drop-In lessons. These are scheduled weekly depending on instuctor availability. They are typically offered Mon-Thurs between 3pm-7pm. Drop-in lessons are 1 hour long. Students groom, tack (saddle up) and ride in our arena and lessons are semi-private. Once your student has completed a lesson with us and if consistent lessons are desired, we create a custom schedule as space is available.
- Drop-In Lessons (1 hour) - $45/rider
- 1-3 Riders in each lesson. Pay as you go/per week.
- Scheduled Mon-Thurs 3pm-7pm
- Taught by Kerbie, Erin, Mikayla, Anaiya
If your student has prior riding experience or has grown in skill beyond our drop-in lessons (upon Stable Life instructor recommendation), they can be added into our intermediate/advanced group lessons upon availability. These lessons are 1.5 hours long and students are responsible for the care of their horse. They are expected to prepare for and finish their lessons independently. (Groom, tack, untack, care for horses, put equipment away etc.)
The timing of these lessons typically are as follows:
-Approximately 20-30 minutes to catch, groom, and tack your horse
- Approximately a 45 min. ride
- Approximately 15 min post ride care of the horse/equipment
- Intermediate-Advanced Lessons (1.5 hour) - $45/rider
- 3-6 riders in each lesson. Pay per month.
- Scheduled Mon-Fri 5pm-8pm, Sun 9am-12pm.
- Taught by Jeannie Miller
Horse Shows
For established and long-term students, local showing opportunities are available. We participate in beginner friendly English/Western fun shows with other barns in the area multiple times a year. We also participate in schooling level hunter/jumper shows monthly. Our lesson horses compete in these shows and some of our students compete on their own horses as well. Pricing varies depending on the type of show and location, but we try and keep these experiences affordable.
Working Student Opportunities
For long term, responsible students, we offer opportunities to be a working student. Working students work "shifts" on a regular schedule, providing daily care for the horses/barn. Barn cleaning and maintenance, equine health care, and lesson assistance tasks are completed in exchange for earned rides. These rides are in addition to regularly scheduled lessons. Being a working student is a special privilege only offered to responsible students who have proven their commitment to caring for the facility and being respectful to all animals/students.
